NH/MA Hepplewhite Tambour Desk
ca. 1810-1820
Poss. attributed to Nathan Lombard. Primary wood is a combination of cherry and birch, with poplar secondary wood. Checkering throughout. Four graduated drawers with original brass oval hardware and key escutcheons, ending on four tapered legs. Tambour reveals a fitted interior, flanked by two flat panels with string inlay and oval panels. Flip over desk surface has original felt liner and pull out supports. Believed to be original finish in excellent condition.
